Refresh and advance your knowledge in the field of youth
recreation by attending the Native American Recreation & Sport
Institute (NARSI) workshops and training. The classes are presented
by the American Recreation Resource and Education Center, Inc.
(ARREC.) Due to the number of textbooks and the period of time
required for shipment, the registration deadline must be
honored. After the deadline a late fee will be
applied. There are no refunds. A cancellation
charge can be applied and/or transfers can be made to the next event
based upon the facility contract agreement, publisher’s conditions,
and the decision of the coordinator and/or instructor(s).

CLASS INFORMATION
NAYRSA (Native American Recreation Sport Administration)
is a 2-day course. The workshop is designed to assist
leaders in the development and enhancement of youth recreation
activities. Learn how to recruit and select coaches and how to
work with parents and officials. NAYRSA
registration includes the NAYRSC workshop. Fee
includes textbooks, study materials, testing, and
follow up.
NAYRSC (Native American Youth Recreation Sport Coach) is a
one day course. This program of study covers such subjects as
the purpose of youth sports, safety, team meetings with parents,
practice schedules, and other areas of youth sports. Fee
includes textbooks, study materials, testing, and follow
up.
The Coach’s Role in Building Character: This class
is a must for any one working with youths in recreational and
competitive sports. What is the role of athletics and coaches
in the character building of young people? Registration fee
includes study materials, textbook, and test.
POYS (Psychology of Officiating Youth Sports) is now
also available as a correspondence course. This class is for
both individuals who volunteer as officials for youth sport events
and for youth coaches who need to enhance their awareness of the
officials role in youth sport. The registration fee
includes textbooks, study materials, testing, and follow
up. Call the ARREC office for details on how to register for
this correspondence course.
Fundraising Activities: This course discusses practical
step-by-step plans for successful fundraising events. For those who
are looking for creative ways to generate support for your programs,
this is a “must” class. Textbook and study materials included.
Organizing Successful Tournaments and Events: Learn
how to save precious time, eliminate costly mistakes, and provide
the blueprint for a smooth-running event. Learn essential
information in a simple, ready-to-use format for your next
tournament. Whether you are planning a major tournament,
managing a fund-raiser, or hosting a small intramural competition,
event management techniques will change complicated functions into
systematic and organized events. Textbooks, study materials,
and test included.
