David J. Casper, CLU

Super Bowl Champion
Successful Insurance Executive

Before David J. Casper became a member of the insurance industry's Million Dollar Round Table, he achieved several other of the highest awards given in his other career. A cum laude graduate in economics from the University of Notre Dame, Dave was an Academic All-American in 1973. In the same year, he was the captain of the National Champion Football Team. An Athletic All-American in 1972 and 1973, he played professional football for ten years. He earned his Super Bowl Ring in 1977 as a member of the Oakland Raiders. He was selected as the tight end for the Sports Illustrated Silver Anniversary Super Bowl All-Time Dream Team. Dave was in 1993 recipient of the GTE Academic Hall of Fame Award for Outstanding Career Achievement and Contributions to the Community.  In 2002 he was named an inductee into the NFL Hall of Fame, Canton, Ohio.

Community contributions include being a member of the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House from 1987-1990; founder of the Ronald McDonald Celebrity Tournament in 1985; chairman of the 100 Men's Committee for the University of Minnesota Women's Athletic Department; and active in the Life Insurance Underwriters Association, the NFL Alumni, Rotary International and various conservation organizations. Even with all these activities, Dave finds the time to participate in various celebrity golf tournaments for worthy causes and to be involved in the "Punt, Pass, and Kick" program.

As a professional speaker, he is a meeting planner's delight. Dave can teach a class on the subject of sales techniques, or address the fundamentals of team development and of high performing teams. However, his ability is not only in the "classroom." For the same event, he can keynote, emcee, or can entertain an audience by sharing stories of the NFL. It is evident that Dave likes people. He creates a warm atmosphere in which the attendees can enjoy learning. Many of his presentations include audience participation.

Another subject he addresses is "saying no is more than words..." The speech is entitled "The Challenge of Life," The subject is appropriate for student conclaves, sport banquets, business meetings, and conventions.

If you are planning an event and need a speaker who can show the way to goal setting and sales techniques, call to schedule Dave Casper. If the subject is the role of leadership, plan to have Dave Casper as the speaker. If the issue is the prevention of substance abuse - children or adults, call for Dave Casper. For groups related to the insurance industry - he is a "must have" speaker.
